I TOLD you I was an Elf!
Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] greyladybast via [livejournal.com profile] missjean:

Lawful Good Elf Ranger Paladin
Alignment:
Lawful Good characters are the epitome of all that is just and good. They believe in order and governments that work for the benefit of all, and generally do not mind doing direct work to further their beliefs.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Paladins are the Holy Warriors. They have been chosen by a God/dess to be their representative on Earth, and must follow the code of that deity, or risk severe penalties. They tend towards being righteous, but not generally to excess.

Deity:
Mielikki is the Neutral Good goddess of the forest and autumn. She is also known as the Lady of the Forest, and is the Patron of Rangers. Her followers are devoted to nature, and believe in the positive and outreaching elements of it. They use light armor, and a variety of weapons suitable for hunting, which they are quite skilled at. Mielikki's symbol is a unicorn head.

Actually, I read DragonLance, not Forgotten Realms, so I have *no* idea who Mielikki is, but unicorns are cool. You know, for someone who can't stand 'Sues, I have an awful lot of favorites in common with them. My favorite color is purple (which isn't an option in the above quiz and that irked me), I like horses/unicorns/pegasus and cats, I have had a thing for pointy ears since I was seven (oh, the disappointment when I realized that Star Trek was being rerun and Leonard Nimoy was old enough to be my grandfather), and I like glitter (though I cannot think of a good occasion to wear it and therefore have not for a few years now...anyway, gemstones sparkle nicely, too, and are much more tasteful;) For some reason, the crow in The Secret of NIMH just came to mind..."It's a *sparkly* Miz Briz!"

I also read Star Trek; Star Wars; Babylon 5; Orson Scott Card; some selected Robert A. Heinlein; the Mageworlds Saga (Gathering Flame, Price of the Stars, Starpilot's Grave, etc); Patricia Wrede's Enchanted Forest series; Robin McKinley's Beauty, Rose Daughter, Hero & the Crown, The Blue Sword; Anne McCaffrey; Tara Harper's Wolfwalker series; Marvel comic novels (XMen and Spiderman, primarily); George Lucas' trilogy sequel to Willow (Shadow Moon, Shadow Dawn, Shadow Star); Craig Shaw Gardner's Malady of Magicks (and its sequels); the complete tales of the Brothers Grimm (favorite fairy tale: The Goose Girl); and the Rainbow Fairy Books collected by Lang.

I finally got to go see POTC a couple weeks ago; loved it! Bought the soundtrack the very next day;) Never really was a Johnny Depp fan, but, oh, what he did with that role! According to the Parade section in the paper (I forget which Sunday it was) the Powers That Be nearly yanked him from the role when they saw the rushes; good thing they didn't...he's the reason it was so popular. If he'd played it straight, people would have watched it for the pretty faces and then forgotten about it.

Matrix Reloaded: finally saw that on DVD. My favorite parts are the fight scenes (big surprise), and the Merovingian reminds me of a college classmate (except he didn't have a french accent and he had a much bigger nose than the guy in the movie). Really, though, it's kind of scary how much he looks like this guy I knew (well, technically I still know him, but he's in SC and I'm in AL so we don't see each other much;) Now I'm rambling. And having trouble typing. Shouldn't be up this late. Oh, well! I have my opinions about what the "answers" are going to be in Revolutions, but I don't think I'll bother airing them, since the final installment is/is coming out. I guess it depends on where you are; on the other side of the world, it's already tomorrow;)

And I *still* forgot to check Sluggy! By now there should be two days' worth of funny for me to read...

RL is being stressful, but I'm trying to forget that at the moment. Ever reached the point that you start laughing for no particular reason and can't stop? And know that if you try you're going to end up bawling like a baby, also for no evident reason? That was Saturday night. Parents said I "blew a safety valve";)

Eh, anyway. That'll do for now. I have other stuff to do, and I really ought to finish up and get to bed, what with it being 2 am here. Have a lot of stuff I don't want to do tomorrow that I have to do...
