Going to Dragon*Con wasn’t just fun, it was a great idea! I’ve made more sales this month alone than all of last year. Currently most popular? “I’d like to teach the world to THINK (singing can wait)“ AWESOME!

I'd love to go, but every year something seems to come up that prevents me from going. Last year, we were moving into our new house that weekend, and I was 7 months pregnant. This year, we were saving for a dining room table and the Music City Brew-off was that weekend. Next year I'm going to A Long Expected Party at the end of the month and that's most likely going to eat up any budget that I'd have to go to Dragon*Con. :( I don't know, it's not completely out of the realm of possibility, I guess (stuck right now somewhere in the realm of improbability). I know of at least one other going from Nashville that I could perhaps carpool and share a room with to make it cheaper. Maybe (hopefully) by then I'll be selling some jewelry. We shall see, I guess.

We're still in the planning stages; I called home every night while I was there this year, and Dad got pretty excited about it. Don't know if he'll stay excited long enough to go, but we'll see;)
If you want to get some cards printed up, I can take them with me. They have tables scattered almost randomly through the hotels with piles of ads on them, and people pick up anything that looks interesting. I put some business cards out, because that's all I had, but glossy color pictures catch the eye better. Still, between wearing my shirts (and handing out cards to those who commented on them) and putting my cards out on the tables, I've been doing pretty well.
There are others who sell jewelry at the con, but there's room for just about any style. Getting a table in the dealers' room is apparently almost as difficult as getting a starring role in a movie, though, with waiting lists and early bookings. I talked to a really nice guy at one booth (it was two spaces' worth, and it was small) and he said you really have to book your space for next year by the end of the current con, or maybe a few days after, or you won't get a table. Like I said, though, anyone can put ads on the tables in the hallways.
Anyway, I guess we'll see what comes!
